Hi Aavya. A small plant sat in a pot, leaves pointing down. Aavya thought, it is thirsty, so I will pour the whole jug today. Water ran over the rim. The plant bent further, the way someone cannot stand after too much of a bath. Why? Because the roots cannot drink that much at once. The soil turned to mud. The teacher said, half a cup every morning, when you take out your notebook. Aavya put the jug away. Next day, half a cup. Then half a cup again. On the seventh day a new leaf uncurled, green and small. Aavya laughed. Aavya, a big result rarely comes from one flood. It comes from a sip every day.
