Hi Aavya. The zip opened and the books spread across the corridor. Maths underneath, Hindi on top, one pencil farther off. Aavya thought, I will pick them up alone. Calling someone is a weakness. Why did that slip? Because one hand cannot hold three books. Aavya lifted two, and the third fell again. The bell was close. Then Aarav stopped. Shall I pick them up? Aavya said yes. That small word had felt hard, and it came out. They both bent. They made a pile. The zip closed. Before the bell, both were in their seats. Aarav said, my zip opens sometimes too. Aavya, asking for help and giving help are both all right.
